Ran across a torroid I bought but lost packaging. It is 1.58 in od, .955 in id, and .57 in high. The color is all red with exception of bottom face which is gray.

Anyone able to identify this torroid?

Did you try Google image search? I have had a surprising amount of success using it to identify mystery bits and peices.

Typical HF range toroid. Good for 2-30 MHz and good for a few hundred watts. Typically used in HF baluns.

Found some Amidon literature and it is likely a T157-2 (red mix, iron powder). I was thinking of bifilar winding with 14 gauge thhn with as many turns as I can for a choke on a 40m dipole.
