I have seen what one hail storm does to a bunch of solar panels & you don't get any warnings ahead of time so you can try & protect them. Very expensive to repair as well. It does not matter what we use they will all fail sooner or later just like we will. Don't stress over the stuff we can't prevent.

20 years ago I was the youngest guy on the radio around here. Unfortunately I still am. I wish today's youth would take interest in something other than a cell phone.

I can fully agree! If it's not the latest version of a smartphone, (which yes I do use and appreciate) they don't want anything to do with a hobby like this. I'm 43 here, and I've had the interest in this stuiff since I before I was legal to drive, and I will never give up the desire for this hobby.
65 years young in a couple of days. Been playing radio since 1965. DX is in my Blood outside of North America.
60.4895 years old today. I've had AM CBs in all my vehicles for years mainly for 19AM on my long commutes. Got into SSB and GMRS/making antennas about 5 years ago, MURS more recently. Gave all four of our grown (30s) children GMRS HTs for Christmas a couple of years ago. They're programmed to the local repeaters and local scanner channels. They see some use but not regular. I spend most of my time chasing skip. When our 8 year old granddaughter comes out I let her check out the shack and she actually shows interest, we even came up with a call sign 317 Missouri. We have a set of MURS HTs we play with too. So folks, if you hear this young lady calling 317 Missouri on a mud duck Navaho you best behave and get back roger?
Will be 80 years Young Next April .Born in Early 1946, Purchased a New 66 GTO Convertibe, while i was in the Navy Vietnam Veteran. 2 1/2 years of Combat Pay back then. Glad to be here Today.
