WTB: Broken Galaxy DX55V

I think we have one that got converted to use as a VFO on Browning base-station transmitters. Wasn't a good conversion, but that part of it still worked last time I powered it up. Just doesn't drive the Browning hard enough. Can't sell them on fleabay. Always get a nastygram that it's not allowed. Makes me think someone watches our listings for stuff to report. Plenty of Galaxy not-legal radios listed there every time I check. Got two lifetimes of better things to do than report any of those.

I may have the model number wrong. I'll have a look at it next time I get to work.

Depending on shipping distance it will cost at least 25 bucks to ship safely. How about twenty bucks plus shipping?

sounds good send me some info I want to restore this one Thanks Big Mike

Found it. The radio's actually a Superstar 3900 from the 1980s. Basicaly a DX55 with sideband. Final, driver and audio chip are gone. Has a RCA socket on the rear for the slider cable on the Browning transmitter. Got some pics. I'll upload them and check back.
