I never knew about the Texas Star Dx 1600v until today

Un-cripple the newest RCI base 69 "Plus".

With the 10kc switch and the tone control from the 29 base the 69 plus would be hard to beat. Maybe good enough to retire the old 2517.

    EXCESSIVE COAX

I have observed mobile setups where coax coiled around mirror arms in stead of using zip ties to secure has caused swr issues,.

Export Radios, Amps, and the Police?

The way I understand it a low pass filter does not have anything to do with bleeding channels within its operating range, It is more to stop spurious emissions above 30 mhz.

Where did you perform the hardware npc? The 5555 method has no effect.

    SR-955 HPC 10 to 12 meter radio.

I personally cannot stand listening to talk or music on sirius xm, too many compression artifacts make it unbearable to my ears.

    Ranger 99 n1 (the rt5 mystery)

Hopefully you can find someone nearby to fix it, it is not that hard of a repair if you find the part.

    Ranger 99 n1 (the rt5 mystery)

I have seen the switch issue on several connex and ranger radios including my 69vhp. Probably bad parts from the lockdown days.

Great bargain, but I wish we could make em swing. Kind of a dead fish on am if you have a high drive amp.

    Ranger RCI 29 Base Station

Or the 69 plus base with its superior frequency shift, the clarifier thing kills this radio for me but for the casual sidebander It is still better than a george mckinley or 980.

If anyone gets there hands on one I would love to see where the tone control hooks to the board.
