You can’t connect the radio to the BNC jack…you’ll kill the device.

I have used the second model to get my radio on frequency. Works well for what it is!!!

Ya the stock antenna. I also have a Nagoya antenna and that just overloads the front end of the radio. Just keep the stock antenna.
