The wiring upgrade definitely improves the performance of all the Texas Star amplifiers...... Yes, I have at least a couple of each size...... Copper Electronics shows to have a 350V available for $360 plus shipping......with no upgrades.....

All amplifiers do have GENUINE, ORIGINAL Toshiba 2SC2879 transistors in them...... One of the Sweet Sixteen's has Toshiba transistors that may not be genuine Toshiba's, but have, and do, perform very well..... Every bit as well as genuine Toshiba's if their not genuine..... All have wiring...

Yaesu's are good rigs..... BUT they Are Not user friendly in the menus....... The menu use operation sucks......

Yeah, well be careful about that....... What the seller is showing in the photos and what is actually being shipped are not the same markings...... I would suggest you contact the seller to verify that the shipped product is exactly stamped as what is pictured for sale...... Are you interested...

I agree...... I use the ZEROFIVE Colossal 10K ....... Performs well on 10m and 11m..... And it is extremely robust and tough......

This is Not a CB amplifier..... And cannot be modified to operate on CB band...... I'm talking amateur (Ham) radio equipment / amplifiers..... You'll never get a quality new solid state HF LDMOS amplifier for under $1,000.... But they do have in development, a smaller 500 watts or so amplifier...

The Mercury amplifiers , Mercury llls & Mercury LUX, have been upgraded with a new LDMOS..... Lower drive for the same or more output. With my new LUX, I have to keep the drive level to no more than 10 ~12 watts to keep from over driving the amplifier over FLL...... The latest Mercury amplifiers...

Yes, but it was a specific batch of fake Toshiba 2879's........ They had a manufacturer code stamped on them of " 6J " ....... Don't know where they came from...... In my experience with them, they were more robust, performed better, and internally constructed much better than the HG...
