I ordered a teflon tube and had to ream the inside diameter to size. Then I cut it to length I needed.

Been there, Done that..... This is my fix......Teflon insulator.....

Get the gray, they are the standard. These connectors should be crimped with an industrial type crimp tool BEFORE you add the solder. I have had to repair a lot of them and amplifiers because of an insufficient electrical connection because they were not crimped first. You cannot get a good...

Yeah, and with one tiny little tweak, the radio will be off so far on transmit, you probably will need some equipment to even get it close again. Those cans are very, very finicky without a very good test equipment quality frequency counter to let you know where it is........ People that know...

I would say NO. They can't get FCC certification for an amplifier to be sold in the U.S. if the amplifier can operate on 11 meters. Why would you be interested in operating this amplifier on 11 meters anyway ?

Yes, and it would have to be the HG brand transistors, The DEI's that Texas Star uses is no longer available........ You can look on ICA Manufacturing to get an idea of the transistors cost...... plus shipping costs.......

This looks to be a later model 500V Texas Star....... The Texas Star amplifiers are not very complicated to work on... Splitter and combiner failure definitely indicates a major failure..... Minimum, its looks it will require a complete set (4) power transistors, new combiner, possibly new...
