This radio was recapped as the caps I replaced are not the normal caps. 1the C102 cap was 1000@50volts. Recapped not by me as the C102 was a large profile cap and I replaced with correct size cap just happened to have some.

Brandon Happy to report it was C102 i replaced C179 first same and then C102 and now radio back to working. Thanks so much for the help

I corrected it i meant the tr 25 I will check c102 and c179 the radio has good receive audio both am and ssb with tr 25 not connected

If i take the 3 wire plug off the transistor radio will come on and receive like normal. If i plug the plug back on to the transistor the fuse will blow. So Im sure the transformer is good or the radio would not turn on at all. to answer your question i can only get radio to turn on with the...

Brandon I found the transistor, I mounted it back on the back with the insulator . Then put my fluke ohms meter from tab to the chassis and get a reading of 2.334 mega ohms.

Brandon good work im still waiting for the 5.000mhz xtals. I did try other options and seems the dual xtals is working. I tried in a few cobra 29s and all worked the same.

Brandon7861 Well some good news and bad news. Looking at the schematic pin 10 going to L22 and then if you add an Expo 100A kit to C87 they lead to the same L22. So I tried a 100 Kit 40 up and down work great connected to c87. Then the kit to the cut trace of pin 10 for the A channels. works...
