My Sparky tuned 949 goes all the way down to .75 watts and up to about 5 watts. :)

I would not put more than 2 watts of dead key into a RM-203. These amps will not last long with a 4 watt input.

BammBamm sorry to hear you are not happy with your DX949. I got mine about 18 months ago (it's actually a refurb from one of the online shops) and have been very happy with it. Hope everything works out. :thumbup:

Sounds like he really didn't want to sell it to me. I would stay with the A, AB, or AB1. I have an AB and a AB1 and they both work well for me.

I would not pay more than $75.00 for the amp. Especially since it is untested. I hope it works out for you.:biggrin::biggrin:

Thanks Beetle. From the testing I have done when running the radio barefoot, (legal 12W on SSB) it does not effect the HVAC unit. It's kind of hard to talk very far though on 12 watts and a dipole antenna in the attic.
