Oh I wasn't trying to be an ass, I was just making a statement. But considering what's going on right now, that's probably what I'll have to do in order to get one unless I want to wait. And honestly, I'm afraid of what's going to happen if I wait... the radio won't really matter at that point...
Well that tool is close, maybe modify it? I still think it’s worth buying cause you’ll use it somewhere else.
It’s a mouseketool we’ll use later… hahaha
I agree. I saw stuff listed in stock that had been out but probably it was stuff waiting to arrive on the boat? Beats me.
I just know I want to waste some money and I want to waste it on a 2950DX6. Time to sell off some radios I guess… fund my habit.
I shall call another sales rep tomorrow...
I'll just put this here since I didn't easily find the thread I was hunting... this will work though...
I have got to wantin' a 2950DX6 so I went looking at the wholesalers, nobody has one (of course) so I called my sales rep today... she told me that Ranger is closed until further notice...
Ok, if you remember A Christmas Story, when the lamp came.... Hot damn it's here, it came it came it came....
It don't fit.
It's a nifty little tool though, I'm sure it'll fit something else but it doesn't fit the AnyTone AT-6666 controls...
<insert audio here>"back to life...back to reality..."
Well I'll be damned... I believe that just might work... that's awesome, I'll definitely try it. Thank you so much!!!
I know you would buddy, I was just running my mouth though.
I gave up hunting for it, I'll make one too. I got them out and back in, that faceplate is a bit of a pain to get off and I've got other stuff to do, paying stuff. So to the side goes my junk.... again... and again...
But I shall take a socket tomorrow and try that, that's a pretty good idea...
Correctly, I’d say yes. I got tired of looking for the tool though, probably faster to just make one. It’s not like you can call the factory and say “hey man, how’s bout you send me one of them there funky little tools”. Might as well call it a service manual, seems as hard to get, an actual one...
No, it's from my fire victim, I was going to attempt to convert it to a 4 pin mic socket but uh, nah.
Forget finding that tool that small. I'll just make my own...
I have been using a uh, uh... a pick that's curved on the end. I'm blanks today. Anyway, not hard to hook it and make it turn but I know there's a tool for it.
I was thinking spanner and castle nut but that just didn't seem right to me, thanks NightThumper. Now, off to try to find one super tiny.
I’m literally beating my head into the bench top trying to remember what this is called. More importantly, what the tool is called that is used on these AND where to find it.
Somebody help me out here before I black out.
This one is from an AnyTone AT-6666, used to hold the controls in...
I'm pretty old, not as old as many here but I'm not wet behind the ears anymore. It's coming for all of us sooner or later, some sooner, some later. Some of us are just tired and will accept sooner before later...
