    Made a Moxon

a moxon is a 2 element yagi with its tips folded towards each other. magically, a moxon can USUALLY outperform the 'normal' 2 element yagi. a moxon only has about 3db forward GAIN, about a half of an S-unit. combined with more or less 15 db of rejection, or 2+ S-units, it is a MORE then...

    Made a Moxon

& to further explain the inside joke, in home depot-speak, a 'legend' creates an 'emotional connection', in this case, with his radio brethren ;). & a moxon ain't no joke! IMO hardly worth the effort on 6 or 2m, though i've done them, 10-12-15m are where they excel. small size, noticeable...

    Sweet16

that's not even the best part of the replies....the alleged output disagreements we see is just as interesting. output wattage is totally irrelevant. the most important factors are: what transistors does the amp use what transistors does anything before it use what is the real world...

Yeticom Optima 10/11/12 Meter Export Radio reviewed @ cbradiomagazine.com

i'm pretty good with vehicle noise-when the noise level is S9, shut the truck off & it doesn't change. it's the noise in the air-fluorescent lights, crappy power transformers, crappy tuneups on the vehicles driving near me-that make using the 257 a drag. if i go to the barrier beaches, away...

Yeticom Optima 10/11/12 Meter Export Radio reviewed @ cbradiomagazine.com

so guys, how is this radio in the mobile, noisy receive-wise? early on, like page 3 or something, there was a comment that implied better then the 257, but i have seen nothing since. my 257's, & delta's & omega's for that matter, were just plain horrendous in the mobile. in this great...
