Radio is in excellent condition , it is tuned to the amplifier , does about 50 to 200 on AM and 200 on SSB , very clean AB performer on SSB. clarifier is open on rx and tx , center slot about 3khz total. As I said , solid SSB drift free performance. Radio comes with bracket /knobs /original...
Nice little driver or a little extra on given radio. Radio set to about 4 to 20 will give about 15DK to 60 watt pep. Radio set at about 1 watt to 20 pep box will key about 1 to 2 watt dK and swing the 60 from there.just depends on how you set it. Also comes with original bracket :) 60.00...
you should not see much more then a 5 watt DK on that 148 . VR10 should help you to turn it down to 5 . SWR ? that's kind of yes and no , get the dk down then check it , IM guessing it will still be on the high side but it should come down a little , then it would be about tuning the antenna one...
Auh yes ! those sliders from hell !! thank God there at least on the older Grants and 148 5 pin models (the best) Why ? cause they were very stable on SSB and had very little drift after a slight warming (some a little longer then others) Yes those big ass sliders in the motor car can be a real...
well . almost 2 years later and I surely don't see them fetching much more then they were. (maybe even less) weather 33 years old or 18 years old and in between. Surely nothing wrong with collecting and hoping a cb radio might be worth more 40 years later maybe ? I truly doubt that. It kind of...
you are more then likely making it harder then it really is ? this is the same for you other then your dealing with 8 recorders in one. (those are really nice when set right for given radio/tune and audio settings)
Maybe this will help you. Good Luck to you...
This is interesting to me ? I just bought a HR2510 made in the Phillipines , (my first one) after two Lincoln's within the last year. Mine to has a Hi/Lo switch marked as the "TX" button . Works on both AM and SSB , With the button out on AM it does about 5 to 30 or so on AM and SSB , button in...

High side about 50 watt DK to...
Well Jeff . maybe that's what Toll free was trying to say ? Wow ! Doubt I would ever run a 500 with more then 20 watts pep to begin with , so hopefully a guy like me wouldn't have the trouble of fuses/holders failing on me. Sounds like you have yours under control.
I often wonder with these...
I've gone through 2 Lincolns in the last 6 months , paid 200.00 for each one. Both in great shape with the 477s . Although I personally liked the one that wasn't modded as much as the other. (buggy)
Good radio ? I'd say yes for the most part. Great on transmit and audio , receive is that much...
