Talking about clearance...I have a 7 inch suspension lift on my truck and stuck a darn dual bander on top of it lol! "BUT" I did see where you can get a folding mount that you can just fold on over in those cases where clearance issues come up. And I totally agree with you on the hood mount...
aha..thanks duster and yeah I think shes kinda smokin or was smokin something when she married me...
yeah I had to put my big boy pants on to do that install, but like anything I do I make sure I do a TON of research before I make my move and I also seen a couple of NMO mounts installed...
Did a NMO install today and well everything turned out very well! Used rg58 coax and had to cut 5 foot off because im installing my dual bander under the back seat (now I have 12 foot not 17 that comes with larsen NMOk coax ) also the antenna is already tuned from the factory so there is no...
No air bags in roof that im aware of! Ill probably have to get it close to where the hump begins for the sun roof when it slires all the way back that way it doesnt get in the way or in sight of the glass while opening! So it will probably be about 12 inch from the roof light
Yeah thats why I asked this question...if there was no sun room I would mount it center no problem but since there is a sun roof ixwas unsure if getting it somewhat close to it would cause a problem with the antenna or sun roof...im afraid if I move it toxthe backside of the roof that it will...
Ok so im still debating on the location of this NMO mount...where is the BEST location to put this dual band larsen 2m/70b antenna? I will be using a lmr240 coax or the supplied larsen rg58 kit...still debating since I have both and should be a short run since the radio will be installed under...
OK..i cant believe im going to have a hole cut in the roof of my truck.. I purchased a new Larsen NMO 2/70B to have installed in the roof of my truck! My question is what is the BEST coax to get that isn't the size and stiff like lmr 400 or heliax? Would one say Rg 142 with a "N" connector to...
Well I have had the X200 in the air since Saturday and even though I have nothing to compare it to it seems to do well! It was VERY easy to put together and only come in 2 sections with 3 radials...I assembled it in less then 15 minutes and it is already tuned from the factory! I mounted it on...
Yeah I agree ,getting it up high will be in the near future...I have 160 feet of tower already sitting behind the house but cant do anything with it until our new home is built...so im only limited to 60-65 at the moment! I will def be adding a review of this antenna since it is my first...
Earn my ticket saturday morning ! Ive been on the radio since 1985 and have ran stations up to 25k to just running a browning mark 3 and a jb150 from the start...most of my fellow cb friends I have made from all the years have either "A" died off or "B" moved to ham,
I dont know why I have...
I ordered the diamond x200 base antenna and this will be my first dual band antenna or first uhf/vhf antenna for that matter...what are yalls opinion on it? I will probably be running my yaesu 2900r into it because it is a 75 watt rig and our goal is to hit repeaters 100 mile out and at least...
Well im hooking a friend up to get back on the air and I had a few turner mics laying around on the shelf and decided to match it up with the super sidekick or the plus 3...did a check and the supersidekick was a lot louder for sure but yet sounded very pleasing on SSB with the gain of the mic...
