Nice Job Mike Just to let you know the This Base Mic is still made and still Available at Local "UK" CB shops not Germany. Inrage is the new Board (R) Owner. Inrange Online Again they are Great Microphones but also known to have a crackling PLL and need sprayed a few times a month.

Looks like the guy that had it sprayed a good amount of contact spray over the PTT & Lock switches all the time.

One way to tell is look at the circuit board it would say Astatic. Kind of reminds me of the older model of the JCD-201M the newer 201M as pictured below is fantastic for SSB in fact it was made with that in mind runs on 4.5v "3 AAA Batteries"

Robb I always took the 1125 out and swapped on the 140 142 & I know the 148 you don't need to but I never seen the mod on the 142 like a 148 I might be wrong but again on the 140-142 I always done the swap. 898 Robb is correct bud you will need a counter or a friend with one or even another...
