    last one i had covered 25-32Mhz and it was the older orange face version. never seen one go lower than the 25Mhz range. maybe it has been opened slightly for more TX freqs? have you looked at the insides to see if it looks any different than your current model?

    i would say yes, they are both worth fixing. of course, the first one needs some exterior cleaning, too. those are great radios when working correctly.
