Whats it take to hook one of these Heil HS2 Hand Switch HS-2 PTT handswitch up to or between my d-104 silver eagle an my RCI 2995DX? For that matter, has anybody ever dfone or tried this......

I mainly use it for the cb, but once in awhile I use it on the ham radio also. I can't tell that much difference in it an the maco 5/8 I had up other than a little bit more noise on the RX end. Putting the GPK on it got rid of the TVI in the neighbors stereo though.

I use an Imax 2000 w/gpk for the 2995

Heres a pic of mine from awhile back, the laptop is alot closer to the radio now because of other crap an RC plane stuff stacked on the other end of the bench. It is pretty much right in frt of the scanner now, mouse on other side....I'm a south paw..:thumbup1:

Or, if conditions are right you can talk all over the country with a Imax and a 2995dx (stock) like mine

I have my HP laptop an MS wireless mouse less than 18 inches away from my 2995DX an have never had it pickup any noise or interference from either one of them yet....:D EDIT.....to add inches

I bought the software an cable for my Vertex HT, $35 I think. Programmed 30 some channels in less than 10 minutes, pushed the enter button an it was done in about 30 seconds....

I'm kinda partial to the one at DPD products, since it is completely sealed up in the tube an built on the same platform as their train, an govt. antennas. Besides, it'll be up pretty high an don't wanna hafta fool with it for a long time. I'm using a 2 meter Yaesu FT2800 that I modded that...

I had a new 2547 an loved it, nice radio IMO.

The ol' lady might have an electric blanket, they are a source of noise also. We had one an sold it in a garage sale to get rid of the noise on the CB. Just keep the heater up higher in the bedroom now, probably cheaper anyway....
