It was exactly the same and the SWR’s are 1.2 all across the band. It’s the same. It was with his IMAX only it went up a little bit on the higher channels. The Italian antenna seems to keep the SWR the same across the 40 channel band? Sir I’m 69 years old. I’ve been screwing around with Radio...
The guy took down an IMAX 2000 with the ground plane kit , same pipe, same coax, same everything all he did was put the Italian antenna on the American pipe and I guess it doesn’t have a good fit. Antenna analyzer what do you need that for if you didn’t change anything, you know you guys get so...
Italian should stay to making wine, the Fiat car isn’t worth a damn, the RM amplifiers weren’t worth a damn what makes you think they can make antennas.
A friend of mine about 30 miles north of me took down his IMAX 2000 and put up this antenna. His signal to me dropped ALMOST 2 S units same radio same everything just an antenna change. Now we can only talk on a quiet day and I didn’t change anything at all. So I doubt very much if this is the...
I bought something about 5 years ago all I remember it had 333 in the model number, it works fantastic on 144- 148 220 and 440 also its about 15 feet tall, weights almost nothing, but it works great I would recommend this antenna to anyone looking for an antenna in these frequency ranges
Personally, I had a bad experience with the expensive Sirio mobile antenna so I won’t buy their products anymore. It might be fantastic. It just won’t ever be at my house.
Yep it’s amazing how many people just don’t understand that. If u want to go between channels get a 5k switch installed Or just buy a new anytone radio
Sell the Galaxy all it is is a dx 949 in a box, they drift so bad on Sideband most people never turn them off but still an unstable radio as far as frequency on Sideband goes
I was just going to say there are a few versions with different names. There is one that seems to be better than the rest. I just don’t remember it’s been so long.
The stinky part was when I first got in the CB it was a big deal about not transmitting until you get your license and at that time I want to say 71 Maybe it cost $20 and they were really adamant about don’t transmit until you get your license. From there I think they went down to four dollars...
What does this 5555 radio do that the other 5555 radio did not do. I’m not talking about the 5555N. i’m just talking about the quad five with version six chassis.
Thank you I just went and looked at it and it is quite a bit different and caught my attention. I think maybe I will purchase one. Is the audio mid range or is it real tinny
