I have a HTX-100 that has a bad mic element. Any suggestions on what type or brand to replace it with. I really don't want to buy a new mic so want to try and just replace the element.

I like the RCI mic like comes with the 2950dx. Good reports and still has the up down buttons, easy to re-wire for the 2510.

Any one know a good tech to repair a htx-100. Has no transmit and maybe no receive, the band seemed dead when I was checking.

HR-2600 with Doc tune and variable power and claifier mods. Real clean radio that has not been used much. Original mic, power cord etc. I may even have the original box but have not seen it in a while. If I find it it will be included also. Only does 10 meters so you need a ham ticket to use it...

I am not a fan of clipping things. I soldered it back and turned the alc back to about 20 or 25 watts if I remember right. I had quite a few contacts one day with that radio all over the country when a 10 meter contest day was going. Had nothing but good reports back also.

Send me your email in a pm, the picture files are to large for this forum to accept. The braid that covers the transistors hides the numbers but it puts out about what my xl350 does. It maybe mrf 454 or 2879's not 100% sure.

Emperor 5010 for sale. Original mic and power cord no bracket. Just had it aligned and checked out and works good. Real clean radio also. Will include a Magnum by Palomar amp with 2 transistors. Looks just like a Cobra xl350 inside. Last time I used the amp 200 plus watts on high. $325.00...

I nterested in a hr2600? Have box, manual, mic, braket etc. Has adjustable power mod and claifier unlock by Doc in NY. Aligned and mods done about a month ago.

There are 2. It has a braded wire covering them so I am not sure. It puts out about the same as my cobra xl350 that has 2 2879's. I figure it is 2879's or mrf 454's.

yea you saw it too. Does the Messengers say the complete name on the face? Probably not any better than my Cobra xl350, I heard they are about the same design, the Messenger and Cobra.

Is an amp labeled m250 a Messenger amp? The Messenger 250 was a ab1 bias I believe.

Well I am not going to get excited till more time has past but, I had some 10 year old weathered rg8x, about 18 or 20 feet. I added it in line then connected it to my current choke and swr's are way low, no tvi unless I crank the amp to high and the swr's only vary a few tenths or less depending...

I am going to try and add some more coax to see what that does.
