I do not the actual output rating. I run my uniden grant on it and it keys 4 to 12 watts. I see about 400 watts from the amp on high setting. the transistors are PT9847

Just adding another amp for the forum to look at. I do not see any of these around the net so here goes. I have 2 of these, one with relays and one built without them. maybe be forsale or trade for a magnum 4500 or cobra 450XL. SwitchKit any history on these?

There are 2 versions of that FET one has a all plastic back and the other is the standard metal back. FQPF9N15 FQP9N15 Hope this helps

Its not that the audio is different, it just alot more swing. wider range to the swing.

yup , great amp. I would buy more if I could. My friends as well always ask if i can get them one. I think there is a real market for these.

They use FQP9N15 mosfets 8 of them. I see a little over 300 watts out of mine with Cobra 29, with my Uniden grant I get around 250 watts. These amps are audio monsters and like to swing. They have a wide range like key 40 and swing 250 if you want to do that. I wish the write Switchkit did on...

I bought one through SK . Palomar Mosfet 450. I love it and thinking about buying another one. I too would like to know what happened. Maybe SwitchKit can tell us. Even the thread Switchkit posted on here about them on is deleted or missing. They used to carry them at amateurlinearamplifiers...

I have done just that and i see no difference in power output just minor the differences that you would see like when you change a 2sc1969 bipolar transistor. The IRF-520 is the same device as 2030. But there are different manufactors of the IRF-520 you have to get the International rectifier...
