first thing you never do is get a radio active radio. you will sound like your talking from the swamp. the loudest radios here in northern va are the magnums and strykers. hands down. all with limiters intact. perfectly clear also.
beetle the dosy is different.
yes you can add one. get that palstar. with the remote hookup you dont need all the extra coax and such to mount it where you want. it will do you fine. if you ever were to run something where A meter would cause an issue, it would be with big power .
a...
one thing you said right was IF they ship the right one, but the 5000 will still tune better which is needed if running power. even if its only 200 watts.
tx and rx should be the same and never said otherwise.
actualy a bird meter is the only meter that wont cause any loss at all. no added reflection, which a dosy will.
ever take the cover off a dosy and see the size of the leads. no line loss my butt.
the 1000 comes with rg58 coax, and will usualy tune in at 70 ohms on the mfj. also the 1000 half the time needs the 66 in stinger. which is another 20 bucks.
the 5000 comes with 8x coax, uses the 62 in stinger, and then usualy tunes shorter. no need for a different stinger. and will tune in...
between the 1000 and 5000 go the 5000. it has better coax, and tunes easier.
as for the tractor, and im guessing a big rig, 9 or 12 in double coil, due to the height and bridges.
th passenger side could look like that from the jaws of life having their time on the vehical.
the bus's left rear is dented, also the left rear quarter is bent in, remeber those busses are full heavy duty frames, and thats not a thin bumper. also take into account that the bummer driver...
the freq counter is used with more advanced testing equiptment. the hex is for ground. which you can use if your us coax with no end on it, and to gonnect to the center pin they gave you so when stored less chance of rf messing it up. do not use this near others transmitting
this isnt a SWR...
switch, with the length, not weight ups wont ship a 50ft pole. that means freight, add for a call to deliver, add for residential and its actualy like 174 and change.
do a price quote befor you order one.
man you guys are wound tight.
but one thing we can agree with is toll free is well above psycho. psycho is below the scum at the bottom of a portapotty, but thats a different post.
im going to hook the mfj to the antenna base and report back.
i dont cut it with a program. just showing length does matter per freq, to match it with the antenna is different per situation. you can try to make the biggest post you can. even if it was off it would still work fine. but if you want the best match up you can some adjustment is needed...
math dont lie
you want it close, or do you want it dead on.
beetle of course this wont make anything perfect if you talk on many bands.
if you would like to have the best tuned setup for a spacific freq it can be fine tuned.
20cb110 thats not correct. everything has a length for a one set freq. which is the reasoning for exact coax lengths with 2 hot set ups. your antenna is a certain length for say 27.200, so is coax. now you cant change your antenna swr with coax, thats fooling it. you can fine tune the system...
