I have one here and would like to know what year it was manufactured I have it since 2010 anyway I can find out serial number on the rear of radio .

I’m considering purchasing an Amp to run with this radio, one brand that I was looking at was rocketbox Amps anyone own one of these or had any dealings with this brand I will be using it in a mobile .

Would it be possible to run The radio of cigarette lighter it draws 15 amps I'm Guessing if I Had a heavy cable and good quality plug with a 20 Amp fuse .

Thanks fellas Ive spoke to a guy he is an approved dealer and repair shop for Stryker radios ,he has a shop in Kansas City Missouri I shall be buying the 955 through him with a warranty .

I got in touch with a gent in Missouri who is a Stryker dealer and registered service centre I'm going to be purchasing a radio from him , thanks

Anyone on the forum using one of these radios I need the lowdown as I'm considering buying one , I've seen some for sale on Amazon but have been advised not to buy as they CB be cheap copies better to go to a Stryker dealer , basically I like the output power and the layout of the radio

I'm aware there after service is poor I havent seen any good posts on that well I wouldn't run my high power 70 watts and at times lower .

Well I'm thinking of purchasing 1 but having it set at 70 watts so not to do any internal damage .

What's the standard mic like that comes with the radio like does it sound better with a noise cancelling or power mic .

I guess that's the way radio manufacturers are going now using cheap low cost parts .

Nice looking meters there the mfj has lots more coverage I like the workman it's at a budget price which would suit me better .
