Well, here is the test results: With the FT-101B happened the same, in 10, 11 and 15 meters band (in this moment i don´t have 20 meters antenna). But in 40 meters, both radios work fine with the SB-200, without SWR problems. So, for that reason I assume that the problem is in the SB-200...

Good afternoon. When I use my Boomer 250 to drive my Heathkit SB-200, I have no problems with SWR. But when I use my HF rig (Yaesu FT-ONE) to drive the Heathkit, the SWR between the radio and the amp is too high (2.5). What could be the problem? Another way to say it > - CB radio + Boomer...

Which hf rigs had the honor of being catalogued like "top of the line" transceivers, from past decades to the present day? My first mention, from very early 80s > Collins KWM-380,Yaesu FT-ONE & Kenwood TS-930S. :D (sorry for the faults, my english isn´t too good) :P :roll:

If you are looking for swing on AM... buy a FT-101 Yaesu. I have a FT-101B. With 5 watts of carrier, i get 50 watts PEP. :wink:

Well, the Yaesu only have the SSB filter installed. The AM filter is optional, and doesn´t have it. I need to buy it. :P

The bigger distance that I talk with this radio without amplifier was Italy. 7000 miles from Costa Rica to Italy!! And with a ground plane antenna!! That was the last year in 27.555 mhz (USB). :wink:

This is what my baby can do > (after I played with it) :P AM (7 watts carrier) > AM (20 watts PEP) > SSB (20 watts PEP) > I love this radio! It has given to me many years of service without problems. My little giant. :wink:
