On my 500 I have a separate positive wires to each two transistor board to feed them. On the 8 transistor amps that would be 4 positive feeds, one for each 2 transistor board in the amp. And the crappy fuse holders get bypassed, directly feeding the amp from the batteries. 73 Jeff

My 500 has been on 10/12 for almost a half a century, never had a issue with signal quality if you keep drive levels low. I recommend the older TS's if you can get a unmolested one 73 Jeff

Today these drive levels are rolling the dice, on a very large bet. I still have this same 500, it has lasted going on 40 years now and the reason is I keep output below 400 watts on a peak reading meter. It has seen some abuse, I once got the mic stuck down in the seat, radio and amp keyed on...
