thats very useful.......i think this should make the sticky list
Interesting to note at first look it seems it not to make to much difference what coaxe is used as 5 turns of RG 58 is very close to 5 turns of RG213 both on a 4.24 inch air former
i find this ..think it may be useful so posted it
Any comments if the choke was only going to be used on 11 meters .. length of coax etc

model number 3 with isolated mast looks very good with 5.9 dbi of gain and a 9 degrees toa but it all goes to pot with model 4 when the feedline is added .... i dont know if a choke will help and get it back to model 3
i just check the gain of the i10k and its 3.6dbi but i dont know the...
Reading page 4 again although he models at 45 degrees but hes say the gain increases until approx 20 degrees when its starts to fall of, so maybe 25 degrees is optermon ....id be interested if you did a model with radials at 25 degrees
Back to the i10k with sloping radials i find this A comparison of 10 meter verticals using modeling

It was done to replace the dead coil in the bottom of the bracket which was removed
But it works very well (when not windy) and i cannot believe im posting photos of my bodgey work.
Like i say all fixed and working in 50 minutes
The wire...
Yes i will try it first with one, using the top 21.5 feet of mast or what ever the length works out to be.
So the so 239 socket will be at the bottom of this insulated from it, with coax going up the centre of the mast /counterpoise and to come out the side of the insulator between the...
