You're only feeding it 13.7 volts or so. It's made to take 16v. Crank up the feed voltage or you'll never get max output from it.

I have heard from one guy that my 2985 was 1 off and I should use for instance. 27.3851 instead of 27.3850. He said it "sounded" better. But then I thought, what does he know? Maybe his radio is recieving one off? I don't worry about it. Personally, I feel if you keep turning it to transmit one...

I'm still trying to find the schematic so I can see where to connect the ground. Whats confusing is that it works without one, so maybe I should mount a small antenna on it instead of the ground. You know in the schematics, those ground icons do kind of look like a tiny 3 element beam in profile. ;)
