No,
It's not a new amp, but it appears to be in pretty good shape, bought it from a reputable guy that aligned my radio, you would probably recognize his name, he is from Ontario California.
I am using a Wilson trucker 2000 antenna.
I have the amp hooked to a large cable coming off the...
I have a Pearce Simpson Lynx 23 in mint condition that a buddy gave to me, I had it aligned by Bill Nadzam, he said that he never saw one so pristine.
Unfortunately, I have only had it on long enough to do a sound check.
Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it!
Barely over 2 watts, swings to 15
Red and Green on, as I understand the green "Dial a watt" button activates the variable output when it is on.
With the Amp on (Green and red on) it DK's 75, swings to 150
Red button only, DK's 140, swings to 175...
Thanks, I guess I wasn't very clear...
200 watts PEP is all that I am getting with the variable on the radio turned all the way up.... I am off work through next Thursday, so I won't be able to look at it till then.
To it's potential.
I have a Galaxy 44 that on the low end Dead keys @ a hair over 2 watts it was recently tuned by a reputable tech that also sold me the amp, when I followed this recommendation from another forum;

My Dosy 3001 is showing a shade under 200...
You are probably a marked man...going around with the name of Captain Kilowatt, wrenching on commercial radio towers, Thor is bound to think you are trying to taunt him....
It isn't unheard of down here near the border, for Mexican gangs armed with official POLICE or SWAT gear with baklava hoods to storm a house..it wouldn't be the first time an informant gave a bad address, or the cops intel was wrong either.
It is really a sad state of affairs, but just...
Probably not a bad practice, you never know when you might be called away on a moments notice, or not be able to get to the house ahead of the storm.
I would hate to be this guy...who says lightning doesn't strike twice?

I went the Mack route and it worked out well, I applied flux lightly to the wires beforehand....
I suck at soldering and it worked for me...nice to know that the tips remain in good condition.
I recently picked up some jumper cables for momma's car, and it has a pair of Anderson connectors in...
I have always used Anderson connectors on my amps, no chance of reverse polarity, and the leads are well protected.
I could never justify dropping $40.00 on their specialized crimping tool, so resorted to the hammer and punch method and it seemed to work fine...I never had any problems...
It sounds like Ebay is torn between sticking to their policies and making a buck, and someone in their not-so-infinite wisdom figured that this is a compromise that they can live with.
Great for you, sucks for the seller, Ebay gets their cut.
In regards to forum posts, I tend to take people at their word unless they make some sort of outrageous claim or ridiculous post. As time goes by it becomes readily apparent who would do well to ride the river with and who you would probably throw out of the boat.
Conversely, people that are...
I work in a shady part of town where gunfights aren't uncommon, and the property that I work on has millions of dollars of everything from electronics, to pharmaceuticals, to firearms from many of the major gun manufacturers at any given time...and we have really no security.
Even though my...
I am glad that we have constitutional carry here in Arizona, although I have a permit to take advantage of reciprocity, I don't need it to carry openly or concealed.
On a somewhat related note, my buddy Alan Gottleib sent out an update on a case he is working with Alan Gura on, where American...
Glocks are great guns just not my cup of tea....
I agree with what the other guys said, keep your bugger hook off the bang switch unless you are on target ready to neutralize a threat.
My daily carry is a Colt Delta Elite, 10mm with two extra mags, and a Ruger LCR or an LCP as my BUG's...
