Ok, then why is my radio drawing 49 amps out on 240 watts? I have 2970n2 with mofsets.. on SSB it should only be drawing 18 amps at 200 watts according to what you said... what gives.. ??? is something wrong inside my radio.. it would make sense if mine at 200 watts drew only max 30 amps.. why...

Was that or AM or SSB.. I think that was not Mosfet finals.?

No, not true...where did you get that info.. I ordered one stock from them and the fix was attached in the Mic cord package...where do these people get this eroneous info??

2950dx very, very, very, very good radio I have 2 - 2950dx radios..both work PERFECTLY. sorry if someone has one that doesn't preform as expected.. .. just bad luck.. I also have a 2970N2 that works PERFECT also.. I think you just got a lemon, or something else is up.. I feel for you.. I...

Where is the BEST place to purchase a NEW 2970n2 or 2950dx???. Service and knowledgeable tech etc.. price important of course, but not a factor in this case. Will pay few dollars more to get it right! Thanks in advance :)

Of all the exports, for sound and clarity.. Magnum is the best.. but, that is just my opinion.. I should also mention receive and low noise .. Doug :tongue:

I have lots of Raido's Icom, Kenwood etc..but for 10-11 meters for Audio and clarity:tt2:.. you can't beat them..SSB is awesome if you get it right.. for a export-Chink radio you can't beat them.. Doug LOL

Yes, I should have mentioned 102 is not good going down road.. but I have both Wilson 2000 and K 40 when parked..and I can put up the 102.. what is best between K 40 and Wilson when on road? :)
