Maybe you could hook up a random length wire of over 80-100 feet and drag it behind the truck!
That is a tough situation, I am not sure if CC crane has what fits the bill, but I have looked over some of their products before and it looked like pretty good stuff to me. If I remember right...
Hi CDX8412,
I checked out the Morse Academy overview, and I am not sure if I fully understand it. What I gather is that it sends you characters and displays them on the screen. I am not a real big fan of that, because you hear code; you don't see it.
This may be a "quick and dirty" way...
Nice SW, thanks for sharing. It may be useful to use when learning code too.
If you are learning code I like the G4FON software, it is a free download.
Re: What radio?
I had a TS-440 a while ago. Only thing I'll say is that if you are buying it used make sure you know everything about it. Nothing against most CBers but some do have a tendency to take a decent radio and turn and clip things they shouldn't. I've been there, so I'm a little...
The radio is pretty cool, but what about his antenna! here is a link about it. It's an old link but you get the idea. He tuned it in a helicopter.

I think i've got everything in ok except for the +12 volt source for the board. It says near where the radio is turned on there should be a +12 volt source?? I need a little help with this, not sure what to do. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":">...
try pushing in the "function" button and then hold the "call" button for about three seconds. if it's one of the older 257's that should take you to the 11 meter freqs. this will have to be done most likely everytime the radio is turned on.
in the newer ones all you have to do is tap the...
lol, I had a Vectronics one I got from radio shack a while ago seemed to work ok. The filter itself has to be grounded though or it's not doing any good. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D">
