My wife used to have a nice setup in the 80's, beam and all and she thinks I'm crazy to talk radio these days. I have a setup that is pretty stealthy so she is cool with it.
Can one of the hams explain why the 155 miles rule? The 4 watt rule is a joke if I can have a beam with 30db gain 100 feet up in the air. CBand needs overhauled and brought into the 21 century, but CB will most likely die with my generation
How would you know if the person you here is over 156 miles without talking to them. I can not stop my signal from going over 155 miles, their is know way to know without taking a chance of breaking the law...
The law is outdated, the FCC is outdated...
I bet that hambone never broke a speed limit or ran a red light. Come on, who did I hurt taking to Jack Crap in St. Louis! If I was worried about TOA I would get a beam and be done.
Oh and don't forget hammy, 11 meter was originally a ham band! HAha!
I really don't know. I was just given an old A99 but always heard about tvi problems. I use a 102" with 2 opposing 102's for radials. I would like a better omni and wondered if it was worth the switch but I live in town and don't want to cause interference.
