    My brother has a cobra hh38? We bought an adapter to use a regular cb antenna, why not use a good whip antenna and carry a wire dipole if you need more range.

    13-893 and 13-895 use the same board, I emailed midland for my 13-895 and they sent me a pdf service manual also. Free! I could email you the pdf if you message me you email, I am home now and have access to my pc.

    update on the cobra 148 gtl for $50

    I bought a Philly '89 148 for $40, at a swap shop, last week. Had a hi-lo crystal switch out the back and was way off freq, freq changed pulling the cover off. Clarifier had to be turned almost all the way CW. Pulled the whole setup out and put the original crystal back in the board. No tx power...
