you could run your equipment off of a battery and use the ps to maintain it. I have known several ppl to do this for years with no problems. Its not the ideal setup but it does work when money is tight.

you could mount the antenna at the rear corner of the bed and it should help with the swr. A 102" whip would be a good choice but if the height is an issue you might consider a P 10k or coily.. both are built like a tank and perform well. The corner of the bed will make you a little directional...

I would think you would be getting alot of reflect off the tailgate with it on the bumper. I would do as suggested and put it on the top inside corner of the bed. It might not make a huge difference in tx/rx but your equipment will like better in the long run. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

A cheap phase converter could be used to obtain the 3 phase power but might introduce alot of noise ..
