WHat ever works bro. Theres a low telephone line on one of the roads around here. I cant slow down to 10 mph everytime i go under it. It bent my tuning rod when i hit it at 35-40 mph but it dont bend the 102" whip i cut off. Ive never bent one at 3-5 mph either... mine is pucked atop a 4x4 in...

Ok this 2527 has got me whipped...! No TX NO RX everything is as it should be. I've called Don's CB and no luck gettn a call back. So I'm boxing it up and i'm waiting on a reply... Charlie B :sad:

H & Y Electronics. I bought a new one off flea bay before Xmas for $30 new in the pack but that was rare because I do troll. They have a variety of mounts available. Trunk, Roof, Magnet. I would recommend sirio's magnet over WIlsons I am a believer & all you gotta do is search the threads...

nothing other than the output on a watt meter. I mean ive had them go dead from a voltage regulator before but never like this? I was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience so id know where to start?

Have a problem with the 2527. No RX & no TX. The radio meter shows its keying up but the modulation meter shows no modulation and also theres nothing on the watt meter? Talk back even works but still no TX on the watt meter. No ears just some static? WHere to start?

How much better receive? Going in wife's car ;)

Yes I agree not the same radio but does the same thing ryyyyyyyyte :tt2: I scored a new 257 i'm happy. They said the optima replaced the 257 so maybe thats only in their mind or their inventory? Either way i'm gettn a 257.

Searched the whole country.. Finally found one at a CB shop in Michigan. Lil more than I wanted to pay but it was their last one. Can u say rob me.... Magnum 257. Brand New in box. They have changed the name to Optimus Mark 3 now but i did find a 257. Yaaaay we will see if all thses reviews are...

I have one I bought from ScrewDriver at Bells CB. Did the diode mod for RX. put a top gun compressor in it. Been a great radio. Only issues ive had was voltage regulator and the antenna wire going to the antenna connector broke inside the radio. Ive talked all over the world on it on SSB. Great...

i put 5 of them in a rack box that looked like a galaxy base station and they worked great. Ran a 2x8 off it just fine. 5 of the 36 amp turned up to 14.6 volts. Only problem i've had is some of the cooling fans have worn out cause i run it day & night. No fuzz in the rx of the radio. Good to GO....!

I have two of these. Made sum changes so I dont need them anymore. I used to run them in parallel with a 2x8 they worked flawlessly. Each one is 72 amps @ 12 volts They are modded dell server power supplies. Eack one has two + & - outputs. They have been checked out and are ready to go...

Ok so i pucked my truck and ran 12' of 213.. The antenna would only tune to 1.3 so I changed the coax to 18ft of 213 same deal 1.3 I tried a wilson 2000 trucker and an original audio king. tried various shaft lengths as well. The antenna is in the middle of the cab of the truck mounted thru...
