ok so if i use a 5/8 ground plane and vertical radiator it would be balanced and then the ground plane would make a difference.
so your saying the only balanced antenna is one with equal length on the counter poise and the main radiator.
if that was true then why do multi element beams...
ya i read it. i see the differnce now. looks like if you lived in a valley you would want to sweep them down.
still dont understand why it only changes the match on a 1/4 wave and not on a 5/8.
hmm ok ........ thought it worked on both. maybe i read something wrong some were.
on this interneck.
ok if that is the case. why do some 5/8th angle them and some use 90 degrees?
what is the difference on a 5/8th with them at 90 and 45 ?
does it change the near and far field ? angle...
well im no guru. but yes hairpin is way better. gama has way more loss than a hairpin match.
good choice on the dxengineering they make great stuff. 8)
all you have to do is slope the radils down to about 45 degrees.
then you wont need a matching network. you can also for this use a 1:1 balun, or a small dollar match air coil from main radiator to the ground side. without some type of matching devise you will have your coax radiating/CMC...
ah man thats real sad to hear. he will be missed. allthough he hasnt been here in a long long time. i remember the castle.
hope he didnt suffer and now he up there with the big man in the sky.
yes we have unisured motorist coverage. not mandatory though.
with older cars its not really worth it. except to cover your medical if you end up there. luckily he didnt.
well if you tune thantenna first. then the coax wont matter period.
if you do ajust coax to some other freq's then your changing the antnna's middle freq.
so tune anttena first then the coax length does not and will not make a differnce. or at least not on the rx end.
or something like...
ah damn that really blows. get a jugment against the basturd.that way maybe just maybe he might win the lotto or atleast make his life hell everytime he gets a bank account it will be frozen till your all payed up. :)
i think they called it a TurboTune LMAO
they claimed to never rip out limiters more than likely they upper the voltage.
plug that big radio in and see how it does.
i never said hack the board.
just i know most of the echo mics have the same board hes trying to install right in the mic.
so why take aprt your radio and unsolder the lead to the board look for voltage ect. when you can just plug in a mic.
unfortunately i do remember that place and the left over places still around that are made up of those people.
but i would just plug that 2995dx in and run it. its all surface mount. should be just fine. they probly didnt do anything to it.
dont go trying to fix something that isnt broken.
ya i seen a 45 mosfet 1kw CW 100% duty cycle 24 hours a day. all band amp the other day. that thing looked awsome. auto tune all bands. even had a wireless remote control. 4 antena out puts.
agrees DTB. my ranger is loud at any setting on the rf power/dk setting. even when i set it @ 70w swinging 190w. << although i dont do that very often.
