never had this problem with my ranger either. the Dx models are far superior to the older rangers.

describe the noise. we had some issue like that here a few years back. but it was only heard on 1 channel. it ended up being someones medical equipment. or you could have a bad pole transformer real close to you. if its heard on all channels. i call to the power company will solve this if...

depends on the nieghbors stuff being part 15 compliant. but othere than that try sanding down were the antenna catches contact with the roof or buy a real base antenna.

call or look on the ranger site. they are tuned for 10 meter what you expect. you have to retune.
