Small update. Went and got a 8ft ground rod and drove it 7ft into the ground. Still using 4 gauge wire. No change. Even used anti oxidant to try and get better connection. Still no change

I so wish I could go to 60ft or so! Due to the trees and powerlines I’m not sure I could because of guy wires. I sure would like to though! It may be time to cut some trees lol

I actually have been looking at these! I didn’t know how well they worked. The ones that are good piece away from me, I’d say 80% of them are right at the noise level and I can make out bits and pieces of what they’re saying. The other 20% I can’t hear at all because of the static.

I’m so jealous of these guys that say their base station is quite as a mouse. Only time I can say that is if it’s off SMH

Lol notice that they ALWAYS put a sticker over the screws on the radio that says "removing this sticker voids warranty". Well I myself have always and always will go to Chucks CB Shop on I-40 at the 126. He's very reasonable and very honest. I've been going to him for about 6-7 years and I have NO complaints.

I thought the samething about the tb. This shop is at the 42 on I-40. He has a smart mouth too. His shop is right in front of a Pilot and I passed there a couple months back. There were hundreds of trucks in the truck stop parked. Not a soul in the CB Shop. I don't see how he stays in business.
