You need the SAMS PHOTO FACTS manual, there are two adjustments for the meter on the bottom of the radio but you need the SAMS for the pictures and tech data on how to do the adjusting if thats is all that is wrong with the meter.
If you have a GMRS licence you are better off using GMRS I M O, more watts ,repeaters ,murs is only 2 watts I believe but probably less traffic on that band and I don't think repeaters are allowed .
