The external has 4 ea IFR520 I believe being driven by 2ea IFR520. Looking it over and testing components.
I came up with the following procedure but would like some knowledge and ask for criticism on the procedure.
I had replace IFR520 and the 4 Mosfets in the amp luckily they just let go and didn’t cause much damage. I’m looking for the correct way to set bias on this rig and from what I’ve been reading it looks like procedure in the manual is no good.
Does anyone have the correct procedure?
Ok guys I finally got the CP2000 working but I’m having an issue balancing power output across all channels. I followed the procedure in the service manual but it gives the same result. I’m showing 4 watts on channel 1 but when I go up in channels the power rises a bit on each channel till it...
Ok I tracked it down to a 1K resistor that was shorted, changed out and nothings getting warm / hot & receive stays for hours.
New issue and I’m suspecting it was also caused by the shorted 1k resistor but I may be totally wrong. Channels 1-11 and 30-40 are all on frequency but remaining...
