i bought an rm italy kl200 for my fathers truck so he could reach out a bit better. i have a worldwide mf440 we talk everywhere he gets out a god thirty miles or so the amp was only around 70 bucks.:thumbup:

was wondering if anybody hade schematics for wireing this mic for a 4 pin galxy dx 949. my grandfather gave the mic to me its brand new and wired for 6 pin

thank you all for the good input. i puttthe caps in with a switch and ssb is working perfect now. i do nead to take a cap out though it is a little long on the unkey. as far as the chatter it only happens when a few hundred watts is like within 20 feet of me.:thumbup1:

new question onssb delay i have instaled the ssb delay when i unkey the mic abviously the amp stays keyed up momentarily now with side band on will this hurt the reciver of my radio:confused1: also when driveing by someone that is transmiting with some power the amp chatters will this hurt...

i see i didnt relise they were tying them together. it makes sence now. didnt know how the circuite was working in the radio. :thumbup:

found a mod to unlock clarrifier in transmit. Question is after performing mod you set the knob for say recieve, then you key up and set the knob for transmit. Now when it goes back to recieve when unkeying and you have turned the knob for transmit isnt the recieve going to be off after turning...

so from what i am seeing i just have to add the caps and switch. the rest should be their for the keying circuit. sorry for the stupid questions i,m learning. :blushing:

i thank you ill give it a try. what do you recomend for the delay i see that you chang the caps for more or less delay.

i have a worldwide mf 440 awsome amp gets out great. only driveing it with 2 watts. great amp only problem i have with mine is anything ander half power swr is perfect after i turn it past half way swr go off the chart like wise if i drive it with more than the 2 watts swr goes way high antena...

i have an rm 200p i use on one of my riggs for a little extra help have hade no problems with it i drive it with little power and it sounds nice and gets out beautifuly:D

100 watt on low around 300on high does not appear to have water in it

willson 5000 perminent mount solid in center of roof. the radio is stock tuned but tunned, has external rf power knobe (galaxy 949) i run it all the way down seams to run the cleanest i think it is around 2 watts i think may be a little more. also never hade problem with swr meter before butt it...

what i don't understand is with the amp out of picture it runs flat swr and low it runs flat so that would tell me the antena is tuned right? how would the tune change just by turrning up the power? and where would i run the extra coax betwean amp and antenn? also is this for test only i'v heard...
