Sometimes I get RX where the guys voice is echoing...Its not with everyone just once in a while...but it is constant with that person...is it their radio?? I am still learning the ins and outs of CB radios... Thanks, Casey

I am looking for the freq of my local Police Department... (Danville, CA Police Dept.) I have searched for quite some time with google and yahoo and have come up with freq.'s for departments in surrounding cities, but not for Danville. Can anyone point me in the right direction or look it up...

Is there a store other than RadioShack to buy antennas? I live in an area where CB's are quite common but don't know any other places to buy from??? Thanks, Casey

what would be the advantage to going on the OUTSIDE of the bed as opposed to the inside? If I am going to drill the bed I would rather drill the inside... If I go Fiberglass what will get me as good of reception as the 102" whip? There are WAY too many choices! My radio will be here...

My problem with the roof is when I haul lumber, its usually >15' which require it OVER the cab...I was thinking of mounting the antenna in the bed on the driver side wall (inside). Would this work ok? I have to figure out how to mount it...I was think a piece of angle iron or something bolted...

My radio should be here tomorrow or tuesday and I'm still trying to figure out where to mount the antenna...my rear bumper is not really conducive to mounting something to it...The roof is not an option due to hauling lumber, I dont have a headache rack or tool box so I am outta luck there...

I am getting my first CB radio for my truck...the radio is a Cobra 25 all tuned with swing done and what not... My question is what antenna should I get? I would like one that will get out a good distance. My problem is I will not be able to mount it on the roof as I haul lumber quite often...

OR, here's another one I've come accross.... 1982 Cobra 21 LTD , Same board as the 25s and 66s ...the radio is in Excellent Condition with mic and bracket and heavy duty 3 prong power cord ......It can be tuned anyway you would like. Swing Kit ? basic tune ? or stock ? I'd need to know. Anyway...

a cobra 25.....modded to swing about 18/ 20 watts......loud........$65 shipped a uniden 68....same mod..............even louder...........$75 shipped Ok here is what I have found from another guy...what do you all think? Thanks, Casey

Little more info I got from him...He says the Radio is 1 year old, works just like it was out of the box, no scratches or exterior damage. He is not sure what the antenna is and will send me an email with the make and model when he gets home...ill post it when I get it to see what you all...

Thanks for all of the information guys. I am looking at Cobra 25 & 29's as well as some Uniden 520s on ebay right now. A lot of guys are telling me that the cobra radios have kind of fallen off in quality over the past few years, so maybe I should sway towards the Uniden??? Thanks again...
