Any Thoughts on the 757 amps?

Apparently I'm doing it wrong,, I run a biased 8 pill at 75 watts in with 1200 watts out. Guess I have a lot to learn.

There is nothing to be ashamed of for running barefoot. A bunch of of locals were on 80 meters Friday night and we turned power down under 1 watt and were able to hear each other well. It takes better antennas and operating skills to be heard with low power.

Just had QSO's with 159, 404, 483, 465, 303, WR27. I had an AM station on the channel for the majority of these QSO's so it was rough copy, but I got enough to get them in the log. Nice long QSO with 465!

Earlier tonight I made QSO's with: 948, 369, 969, 1666, & 123 on 16lsb. I was running everything on and may have heard a few stations down in the noise, but couldn't make them out.

Bonding all site grounds together is the correct way to do it, ideally the coax would enter the house at the same point as the electric service. You can not have to much ground system, the more the better and safer you are from lightning. My base station currently has a ground ring/field...

I'll have my mobile out around 5:30pm CST if anyone wants to try. I'll be running with the big box on so it might take a little power to get back to me if I'm heard.

Need Coax advice for mobile antenna

My opinion: RG400 for coax, it tends to stand up better to the rigors of mobile use vs 8x or LMR400. Ring terminal ends then thoroughly coated with liquid electric tape for water proofing. The only 90° end I have had reliability with is the amphenol, install a straight end on the coax then use...

If it's eating transistors, something is very wrong. I have a 4 pill and 8 pill Carl Built and when I'm talking skip they spend more time transmitting than listening, neither has ever smoked a pill. *Probably just jinxed myself*
