they said both were clear and loud but the Cobra was more robust and full sounding, Don't get me wrong I like the stryker alot. It's hard to compare the 2 as they are different animals.

I got a Stryker from DTB the other day. I had him install a toggle switch to turn the blue lights on/off. The radio talks real well and the locals were impressed. The receive is good not great. However, when using the Stryker versus my Cobra 2000 there is no comparison. I used both on my base...

Has to be manifold pressure(turbo boost) 20 psi and above in order for the problem to appear. Someone should forward this to Cat for what it's worth. They are very tired of me :P

Yeah I did notice that. Cat did have a service advisement on the sending unit for the fan. I never tried anything. I had given up also. And now I have quit driving that truck all together :D
