    Retailers Breakin the Law?

Your point about overlap among the three branches of government is well taken, and the subject of a Constitutional Law School test class at some time or another. The Supreme Court has debated the issue of just how much "law making" Authority the legislative branch can have without violating the...

    Retailers Breakin the Law?

Its a game. Who can post the most. CW challenges us to see if there are more cb or more ham violations. To make it fair, I will post all of the November 30, 2005 ARRL enforcement posts regardless of who the offender is or what the offense was: Andrew O. Ojwang 1438 Hemingway Lane...

    Retailers Breakin the Law?

One minor thing. The people through their representatives determine the law. The Court's determine if the law that the people want is Constitutional. The executive branch enforces the laws. Though it sometimes acts like it does, the FCC does not have lawmaking power. Remember, that just...

    Retailers Breakin the Law?

Circuit City has one of the largest lobbys regarding FCC regulated merchandise. They contribute heavily to the campaigns of Congressmen. I will bet dollars to donuts that Circuit City has already paid off everyone it needs to in advance. Congress has already "advised" Mr. Hollingsworth to...

    The 10 Meter Battle

Less traffic is a good thing, unless there is no one to talk with. In that case I just slip in a CD.

    The 10 Meter Battle

I monitor 10 meters all the time and hear nothing. I wish it was as crowded as everyone seems to say.

    question?????????

I was wrong. Some of the radios are made outside the U.S. Many are made outside the U.S. but assembled in the U.S. and than stamped made in the U.S. I thought Galaxy was assembled in California?

    question?????????

They are manufactured here. They are called exports because they are supposed to be manufactured here, than exported. If they were manufactured outside the U.S., they would be called imports :)

What's the latest with Glen Baxter K1MAN?

Congress will ultimately make the decision as to where the money should go. Right now, I doubt spending money on bad hams is going to garner votes, or get the FCC a bigger budget next year. If the FCC has extra money to spend on bad hams which are a concern to no one (except maybe CW), maybe...

What's the latest with Glen Baxter K1MAN?

America has never gone to trial to set an example or save face

What's the latest with Glen Baxter K1MAN?

I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the room where the FCC asks their budgeting department for the money to try the case. Expecially when the FCC says the reason they are going to trial is "to make an example out of someone." or "because we need to save face". Are those valid reasons to...

    CWM- 23 channel radios

The demise of 23 channels led to Palomar being unable to sell their cb stock and ended up bankrupt. There is an infamous case of the IRS v. Palomar. Do a google search for it. Palomar coudn't pay their taxes. Palomar got into making amps to make up for their cash flow problems. Eventually...

    CB and the FCC

The ham prices are still expensive. They need to lower the prices, to allow more people to enjoy the hobby.
