The normal '55' antenna has a 5.5 inch coil and tune around 90-92 inches, where as the r6 has a 6.5 inch coil and tunes around 84 to 86 inches...

The one going from the mount to the frame is the main one i was asking about... Didn't mean to sound like a smart A__ but most of the problems would go away by hard mounting... As for the roof flex, just use a metal plate inside... Get you some marine 5200 (great stuff) goop it on your plate and...
How long are the straps that you are using? Sometimes if they are too long it can cause issues... The best way around most of the antenna problems is to grab a drill and make the hole... If you are worried about the paint, too late if you are running magnets... Just my .02 but good luck...

I seen a pair of them at the St Augustine break... All I can say is sweet... The major advantage of the new style is that they are about 5 to 7 inches shorter than the R4... I should be getting a set for my truck in a little while...

Hey Step, we see eye to eye on that one... The one that had more antennas, was 1. Not pointing at the target or 2. Forgot to turn his box on or 3. Didn't key...
When you run two antennas in a system, that gives you about 3 to 5dB gain over a single antenna... And if you didn't know for...
