    SCORE!!! Near Mint SB 220

Was it recently in use? If it has been sitting in storage, you will need to bring it up slowly. The first i would do is put this in. http://harbachelectronics.com/shop/heathkit-sb220-sb221/es4sb220-filter-capacitor-block/ As well as this for your modern rigs...

President Lincoln 2 ver. 3 VS. President George overall performance requesting input...

I heard a Linc 2 on 10 meter once. The guy should be ashamed to operate it. Worse sounding mobile I have in quite some time. And the George only able to tune in 5 and 10 khz steps, what a joke. Instead of putting roger bleeps and echo crap in these radios, why not DSP and maybe repeater offsets...

President Lincoln 2 ver. 3 VS. President George overall performance requesting input...

Neither radio is worth the trouble of hooking up to an antenna and power supply.

    Good Enough? & Which One?

http://www.randl.com/shop/catalog/index.php?cPath=360 I just bought a UV5R from R&L. Prefer to buy from a radio dealer, than from someone who just imports and resells. Rich

    10 meter frequency and modes?

When i have encountered a Tech operating at 28.500 USB, I just politely inform them they are out of band, and how they got there. Rich

    10 meter frequency and modes?

One thing a lot of Techs make a mistake with is the upper band edge. If you are using USB, your signal shifts up 3 khz from the display frequency. Therefore Techs should not transmit above 28.497. 495 will give you a buffer. Rich

    NEW YAESU TRANSCEIVER

I will have to wait and see if it is real. Can download manual, but nothing on Yaesu's sight.

Antenna Gain (dBi, dBd, dBq, Unity)

A dipole gets its gain b being bidirectional, to the broadside of the antenna. when you make it bent a 90 degrees, it is no longer bidirectional, inverted "V", and loses its gain.

    SB-200 Project

The Chinese plant that was making 572b's ceased production a couple years ago. So the ones you see now are returns or old stock. RF Parts is more worried about quality then quantity, so you have watch their site for availability. I did see some a few weeks back, so there is hope. Rich

President Lincoln II AM dead key and swing

A lot of the radios is this class will12,11,and 10 meter. WWV is back on 25 mhz. I hate the way people want to channelize 10 meter. Only HF band with channels is 60. I just tune up band from Todd, and when I don't hear anymore, I start calling CQ. Rich

President Lincoln II AM dead key and swing

Why should I. I was the one calling CQ. He needs to learn how to operate his radio. For all he knew I could have been rockbound. Rich

    It's out !! RCI 2970 N4 200/400 watts

I saw this on Ebay for 729 bucks. For the same price you can get a Yaesu FT450d, which is far mare radio than any RCI. Like comparing a M16 to a flintlock musket. Rich
