The KL-60 is a ok amp. It puts out about 45 watts AM, 60 SSB. Good clean audio. But DO NOT OVER DRIVE IT! They only like about 1 1/2 - 2 watts input. Anymore and it may just die.

I just looked at my 2 Yaesu FT-7800r's and both of them are made in Tiawan NOT Japan.

I have a Yaesu VX-170 it's a HT. And if you remove the battery and look at the label on the radio it self and on the box. It says made in China. And I had a Yaesu FT-2800m which also was made in China. So you need to read the labels on your radios to see where they were made.

Some of the Amateur radio equipment made/sold by the big 3 are also made in China. And they still you charge US prices. So at least this way you are getting a good deal.
