Like M0GVZ said you should be able to do much more with your setup. I know that you will really enjoy it. I know the Sirio 5000 is the best mobile antenna that I've ever used. And I like the fact that I can use it on both 10 & 11 meters with really great results.

A 1.3 is a perfect match. Why do you need it lower?

The 145 Mag mount is a very strong mount. Not like the Wilson 5000 mount. It should still work very well.

I just saw this post. My Sirio PL 5000 w/145 mag mount is about 78" tall. I did change the coax to 18' of rg-8x. It is a little tall but it really get out very well.

A 102" is a great antenna. Very hard to beat. The Sirio PL 5000 is the best broad banded antenna I've every seen. It will tune both 10 & 11 meters. I get a 1:7 or less from 26.950 to 28.740.

Some Yaesu models have been made in China for years. My VX-170, FT-270r, FT-2800m, and FT-2900r all are made in China. Just look at the label on the radio. HT's label under the battery. This was also posted on this forum a few years ago.
