Put a Wilson 1000 mag mount in the center of the roof.

I've had 2 Wilson 1000's go bad. One, the coil came loose on one end from hitting trees. The other one, water got into the coax at the base and caused the SWR to go way high.

At first Ithbought that too. I got a new antenna and it did the same thing. I've been wanting to drill a hole, just haven't taken the leap. I get bogged down trying to figure out the best coax, mount .etc. I'm not lookin forward to pulling down the headliner either.

Buy a Uniden 520xl and lil will mag mount antenna for each truck. plug the radio into the power port and stick the antenna on the roof, Cheap and effective.

So why bother with the amp if your only getting 70w out of it? Won't the Anyone due about that barefoot?.

In Indianapolis it's Superfly. Seems like he's on the radio 24/7.

I ran a Lil Will and a Uniden 520 for a while. I could be heard 2-3 miles. I think the Wilson would be fine for what you want.

My truck is a 13 with over 200,000 on it. It's far from perfect. At this point, it really won't matter.
