Which conveniently doesn't mention the transmission of a brief sound clip. I mean, I don't particularly care for roger beeps myself, so I guess one could argue that transmission of those tones are electronically induced and not required for normal phone operation and therefore "illegal".

Let's see that law in writing from a legitimate source that says I can't play a sound clip OTA.
