I stopped in to a Radio Shack and they had a Mirror antenna set for about $65.00 and if I did not ask questions I would have purchased them not knowing I could purchase a Wilson for the same money. :lol:

I want to put a Wilson 5000 no the roof next summer but due to the cold weather I'm going to use the fender mounts for now. I hate winter and cold weather.I will also here the difference from one antenna to another.

Are the Hustler HQ=27 antennas any good? How will this work with a Left Fender Mount on a F350?

Thanks! I was looking around at truck around the area and they seem to put it to the back. I was not sure but now I will install it in the center ware it belongs.

WOW! :? If the two antennas mounted on mirrors and they are 8' apart and you compare it to a single roof mount antenna witch one is better? Every time I think I have the simple basic theory on antennas I read something like this forum and I get turned around.

When I mount the Wilson 5000 antenna on the roof do I have to put it in the center or back near the brake light?

Hi King Mud duck why is the K10 better than the Wilson 5K? I don't know anything and I have to look at all the possibility's.I just want to do this one time! With all the work in installing it I don't want to try to save $10.00 and replace it later when I get a better CB Radio.

I want to send my CB Radio to DTB Radio to get tuned up and have anything repaired that needs to be repaired. Has anyone ever have there CB Radio tuned up?

One more question I see the photo of the Wilson 5000 do I have to order an antenna or will it come with one in the kit?

I enjoy doing an antenna installation especially mine! It takes some tome to remove the plastic and then drop the headliner. The hole saw will just take a minute. It's a all day job to do the antenna and radio for my I take my time and a couple of coffee brakes. I'm Glad I talked to you all and...

It's much more work but I like the fit and finish. When I install the CB Antenna I will also put in the Sirius antenna. I don't want to see any wires and make it so I never have to repair it. I hope.

I have the hole saw at work so that will be easy. I don't like the magnet type the just don't look good to me.

I want to go with an amplifier later after you all get me running with just the Cobra 25 LTD. I have to get an antenna that I can expand my system. I don't want to keep removing my headliner to run wire for the new antenna.
