Thank you! Also thanks for the video links. I'll be sure to check those out! Is there a widely accepted "safe place" to clip that ground clip on the test lead? I was thinking perhaps the radio chassis?
I've never owned a 'scope until now, and I'd like to use it to help with alignments and audio adjustments on my personal equipment. I am a big stickler for clean audio, so I felt it was time to invest in a piece of equipment that I could use to help me achieve that.
As I've never owned a...
Thanks Chris,
The board is similar, but not exact. The CX33HPC-1 has a EPTDX2912z board. I done some investigating with the pots yesterday evening (with a sharpie marker obviously so I could "go back") and have information on what some of them control. I'll update here with my findings so...
Wow, thank you so much for all of this. I appreciate it.
I *was* planning to turn down my Stryker 447 to run into it, but decided against that. I'm just going to hit it with a dual mosfet Connex radio that peaks about 45 clean watts.
Thank you again for your information and advice. I'll just...
From what I seem to remember, the TS potentiometers were a weak-link with these amplifiers. Is there an upgrade part out there that would be better suited?
As the potentiometer is merely a variable resistor, is there anything stopping me from checking the resistance of the pot once "set" and...
Yep, obviously been modified as it peaks above the advertised 55W PEP..
Is there a "high power adjustment" in the radio, or is lowering the PEP as simple and backing off the audio some? Afraid of losing modulation loudness when I do that.
I have a Stryker 447HPC2 and a Texas Star 350HD. Haven't hooked the 350HD up to the radio, but am curious about trying it.
The radio peaks about 80W, and I'm thinking this is a little too hot for the 350HD, even though it is a high drive amplifier. My question here basically is can the 447HPC2...
Just picked up a new GainMaster at a great price. I was leaning towards another A99 or an iMax, but I just couldn't pass up the price on the GM. $149.99 with free shipping from Wal-Mart online!
I've read over the instructions, and have also read multiple threads on the GM. I still have a...
I have a Stryker 447HPC2 that swings about 75 on the peaks, and I'd like to find a nice amplifier (high drive) to go with it. Anyone have anything they might be willing to part with?
Thanks!
Prelim testing yields good results with what seems to be a little better "low end" response. I have two President mics that I can use on the Lincoln II. One remains stock, the other is the modified one with two additional elements. There certainly IS an audio difference between the two.
I am...
I'm going to try this this evening with my President Stock Mic. There was a few old telephone handsets in the junk closet at my office, boss said to throw them out, so I'm taking them home to dissect and rob the elements out of them. :)
